Paul P. Schoerner, MPAP
Bio
PA-C at Regenerative Institute of Newport Beach, CA
Paul considers himself truly blessed to be part of the RINB clinical team. A lifelong Californian, Paul earned his Bachelor’s of Science at Biola University in La Mirada before attending the highly-regarded physician associate Master’s program at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
Since graduating, Paul has taken advantage of the flexibility offered by the PA position to accumulate a diverse portfolio of medical experience, working in orthopedic surgery, home health primary care, and emergency medicine before returning to his pain management roots. Prior to attending PA school, Paul gained valuable experience as a medical scribe for a pain management physician at a clinic in Fullerton, CA; that physician was Dr. Khyber Zaffarkhan. The full-circle return to again work with Dr. Z is the fulfillment of a long-held personal goal.
Paul is licensed through the California Physician Assistant Board and accredited with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
He is a member in good standing of the California Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA), and has advocated for the PA profession in Washington, DC under the guidance of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA).
Through his work, he hopes to cultivate a better understanding of the critical role of the PA profession in the modern medical climate. Paul prides himself in patient education and always tries to make certain that his patients are comfortable and well-informed about their care plan.
Away from the office, Paul loves spending time with his wife and two young children. One of his favorite hobbies is hiking in the mountains; he and his wife have scaled Mount Whitney as well as each of the three largest Southern California peaks. He is always ready to talk at length about his beloved Los Angeles Angels, for better or for worse.
